The battery of Foldawheel PW-999 series utilizes Polymer Li-ion cells, which are safer and have higher capacity than the standard cylindrical Li-ion battery cells. It is more efficient and much lighter than traditional Lead-Acid batteries weighing only 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs) each.
Each battery allows a 75 kg user (165 lb) to travel up to 15 km (9.3 miles). The battery slides into the side support bars of the PW-999UL or PW-999XL.
